Jack Benjamin is a trained bespoke cabinetmaker, specializing in handmade contemporary furniture.
Upon returning with my family from living in Australia, I graduated from music college in Brighton where I studied professional music performance specializing in session drumming. During this time I made my own drum kit and realised that I had a passion for making and working with wood.
This was further developed whilst working on a renovation of the family home, where I was taught carpentry and joinery by my father. I then took a break and travelled around Canada and New Zealand, where I met an Irish furniture maker and soon realised that this was the direction that I wanted my career to take. On my return home I immediately enrolled at the David Savage Woodworking Atelier. It was here that I learnt the necessary skills and tolerances needed to produce the finest handmade furniture of the highest quality.
Having set up my business in the Winter of 2016 I am looking forward to expanding the ‘Jack Benjamin’ range offering fully bespoke, fitted and freestanding furniture.
